Coming Home

Esprit De Corps - L'Oratoire Saint-Joseph, June 6th, 2008

Hello out there.

Thank you all for your support and words of wisdom this past week.

We are continuing to process Teresa's loss, and I guess that's all we can ask. We are so grateful for our upcoming visit home to family and friends.

We were able to spend time with Teresa's husband, mom and dad, and Casper and Norman (Teresa and Sean's beautiful Weimaraners) before they left on Tuesday. It was very comforting to laugh and cry with them, to see them coping, as best they could, in the midst of all that has happened.

It was also amazing to hear of so many acts of kindness and compassion that have occurred for them here and at home during this time. Gratefully, they have been able to find some comfort in this city through, it seems, incredible serendipity.

Also, on Tuesday afternoon as they were departing for home, the sky opened up and released a magnificent storm, as if to mark their leaving with the appropriate depth - the brilliance of lightening and the force of thunder.

We will miss them.

Finding the Words

I am sad to write that Teresa passed away on Friday.

Our hearts and thoughts continue to be with her and her family as they endure this incredible loss.

We will always remember Teresa - her gentle nature, her bravery and her strength.

A Request

Tonight the reality of this disease weighs heavily upon us.

My brave friend, Teresa, who came here with me for the trial, is struggling. We are holding her and her family in our hearts, sending them all the love, support and healing energy that we can muster. Please join us in keeping her close and visualizing her full recovery.
